Cukurova University Balcalı Campus, which was established on 20 thousands decare terrain in east coast of Seyhan Dam Lake, is a natural park land due to its admirable view. The university, which is only 10 km far from city center, is among major universities of our country due to its modern substructure and modern facilities meeting every requirement of its student and staff. The establishment of the university, which is ranked at the first 500 in gradation of World’s Universities and within the first five in gradation of our country, was founded in 1973. The university has 18 faculties, 4 Colleges, 12 Vocational Schools of Higher Education, 1 State Conservatory, 4 Institutes and 37 Research and Application Centers.Nearly 2200 teaching Staff offers education to about 56000 students.The aim of the Çukurova University, Faculty of Education, first of all, is to train teachers that will be assigned at the level of primary and secondary education. Our faculty was founded in 1982 to Adana School of Foreign Languages with the participation of İçel and Hatay Schools of Foreign Languages. There are 8 branches and 17 departments in our faculty. Theseare department of foreign languages (Department of German, French and English Teaching), Primary Education Department (Classroom Teaching, Preschool Teaching), Mathematics and Science Teaching Department (Science Teaching, Mathematics Teaching Departments), Computer and Instructional Technologies Training Department, Educational Sciences Department (Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Curriculum and Instruction, Departments of Education Administration, Assessment and Evaluation in education), Department of Fine Arts, Department of Special Education. Preschool teaching and Psychological Counseling and Guidance Departments have double shift education programs. Training Program Teaching included in Educational Sciences Department, Educational Administration Supervision and Planning, Assessment and Evaluation in Education Departments and Department of Maths Teaching included in Elementary Department did not admit students in 2019. In Faculty of Education, in undergraduate program 5575 students, in graduate and doctorate programs 606 students are provided training. Our faculty has 15000 m2 indoor space in total.
